Are you using more than one word for a friends name?
You might have two friends named Joe, so obviously you would want to distinguish between them, but you can only put in one word for a friends name. So, if you need to do this, you would want to use the character of your choice to split first name and last name. (eg. , . - _) So, I have two friends named Joe, but when I refer to them when they owe me things, I use joe_schmoe and joe,the,plumber

Are you being consistant when you are adding items?
When someone owes you a beer, then because they are broke again, you buy them another beer, but this time being a lite beer, are you still putting that they owe you a beer, or are you putting that they owe you water? The inconsistancy of this will cause you a problem when trying to get them to repay you. It will say they owe you one beer, and one water, when they actually owe you two beers, but you weren't consistant about putting them in.
